We drive through the historic riverside village of Franklin which still honours the traditional craft of building wooden boats.

Soak in the views as we go further south. Head underground with a specialist guide to get the low-down on the dramatic dolomite cave, one of only two of its kind in Australia. Warm-up with a dip in the 28-degree swimming pool which is fed by thermal springs. From water to sky, walk high amongst the treetops at Tahune Adventures. Touch some of the oldest trees living trees in Australia on the Huon Pine Trail, swing across a river on the swinging bridge, and walk 50 metres above the forest floor on the airwalk.
